What is the HVM01?
The HVM01 is Netcorp's purpose-built telematics black box designed specifically for heavy vehicle fleets. It combines GPS tracking, CAN bus data logging, camera integration, driver identification and mass monitoring into a single ruggedised unit — replacing the need for multiple standalone devices in the cab. The HVM01 is the hardware backbone of Netcorp's heavy vehicle platform, providing the real-time data that powers everything from live tracking to compliance reporting.
Technical Overview
The HVM01 features a dual-processor architecture with dedicated GPS and cellular modules for reliable connectivity in remote areas. It connects directly to the vehicle's J1939 CAN bus to read engine RPM, fuel consumption, coolant temperature, fault codes and other diagnostic data in real time. The unit supports up to four analogue camera inputs, digital I/O channels for accessories such as panic buttons and PTO sensors, and RS232 serial connections for Electronic Work Diary tablets and On Board Mass displays. An IP67-rated enclosure ensures the device operates reliably in dust, vibration and moisture conditions typical of heavy vehicle environments.
