How AI Driver Cameras Work
Netcorp's AI driver safety cameras use edge-based artificial intelligence to analyse driver behaviour in real time — directly on the device, without relying on cloud processing. A driver-facing camera captures video continuously, and an onboard AI processor evaluates every frame for signs of fatigue, distraction, phone use and other unsafe behaviours. When an event is detected, the driver receives an immediate in-cab audio alert while the fleet manager is notified through the Netcorp platform.
What the AI Detects
The camera's AI model is trained to detect a wide range of risky behaviours including eye closure and microsleep, yawning, head nodding, mobile phone use, smoking, seatbelt violations and looking away from the road for extended periods. Each detection is classified by severity and recorded as a timestamped event with HD video footage, GPS location and vehicle speed — giving fleet managers the full picture of every incident.
